Cornwall Light’s Up For Christmas

From floating displays within harbours to creative light shows in greenhouse biomes, Cornwall comes alive with joyous colours!

The Christmas period in Cornwall is sure to get you into the festive spirit, with light displays throughout the county creating a wonderful setting for the season. 

Eden's Festival of Light & Sound: 25th November - 30th December

Visit the Eden Project for an unforgettable display of light, music and colour. Step out onto the viewing platform and gaze in awe as dramatic lasers pierce through the darkness to create a canopy of light, illuminating Eden’s lush landscape.

Trelissick Garden Illuminations: 1st - 3rd, 8th - 10th, 15th - 23rd & 27th - 31st December

See the garden transform into an illuminated wonderland this season as Trelissick opens from dusk onward, leading you to places previously untouched by Christmas. Follow the meandering paths to vividly lit dense foliage and giant trees, creating festive magic throughout your journey. Visit the house after your adventure and warm up next to the roaring fire, view the Christmas tree, adorned with reds and golds - where you may spot a fairy or two!

Trengwainton Lantern Walk: 1st & 2nd December

Visit from 5.30pm and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the garden as it is scattered with flaming bamboo torches, hundreds of fairy lights and withy made lanterns, made by local school children.  Make an evening of it and relax in the orchard, where winter warming food & drinks will be available, as well as entertainment from local bands and choirs.

Marazion Christmas Lights: 8th December

Organised by the Marazion Decorative Lights Committee and the Greenwood Penny Christmas Tree, Marazion comes alive with lights as the tree in the town's square, as well as hundreds of lights scattered throughout the town, are lit for the festive season. 

Heligan by Night: 14th - 16th, 21st - 23rd December & 28th - 30th December

Step into ‘Heligan by Night’ this December and experience the art of illumination, with incredible textures, colours and atmosphere, created by internationally renowned light artist Ulf Pedersen. Journey through an after dark Lost Gardens which brings light to the landscape.

Mousehole Christmas Lights: 16th December - 6th January

With over 7000 bulbs lighting up the harbour area of Mousehole, the village renowned for its spectacular Christmas lights - which include floating displays. With the official switch on held on Saturday 16th December, a Carolaire Choir’, comprising of the Mousehole Male Voice Choir, Members of the Mousehole Methodist Church and friends from the community together with the Pendeen Silver Band lead the festivities.
