Top 8 Activities for Easter in Cornwall
Spring has well and truly sprung in Cornwall, with the days getting warmer and longer and the county coming to life!
There is plenty of activities and events throughout the county in April, from egg-cellent Easter trails, outdoor theatre and creative workshops for all the family. Here are our top eight things to do this Easter.
6th - 22nd April: Tate Create: Easter Forest of Figures, Tate St Ives - Inspired by the Anna Boghiguian exhibition, which includes installations of paintings on sailcloth and papier-mache sculptures, kids are invited to create their own paper person or crazy creature.
6th - 22nd April: Easter at The Lost Gardens, The Lost Gardens of Heligan - Join the team at Heligan and welcome in the new arrivals to the estate, from little lambs to clucking chicks. Follow the 'Grow Your Own' trail and find your own magic bean which you can pot up and take home to watch it grow. And don't forget the Easter games and craft workshops - there'll be plenty to keep you all busy!
6th -25th April: Easter at Eden: Down on the Farm, The Eden Project - You're sure to have a busy day out at Eden this Easter as there is plenty going own, from farm-themed activities to trails and hunts. Whether it's welly wanging or storytelling, there is something to keep everyone in the family entertained.
7th, 9th, 21st & 22nd April: Rockpool Explorer, St Michael's Mount - Find out what lies beneath the the tideline and uncover the magical underwater world of weird and wonderful creatures - from bodybuilder crabs to sea slugs...what will you find?
7th - 22nd April: Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt, Trengwainton - Create a buzz by hunting out Bunny’s clues about the bees that live in and around Trengwainton. Collect all sorts of fun facts about them to fill your hive and win a Cadbury chocolate prize.
7th - 22nd April: The Curios Easter Trail, St Michael's Mount - Visit the tidal island of St Michael's Mount this Easter, which is right on our doorstep, and take part in their Easter Trail. Seek the answers of some of the famous visitors that have visited the island that can be found in the harbour and village - a reward awaits!
9th - 19th April: The Secret Garden, The Minack Theatre - On losing her parents, Mary Lennox, a spoilt and sickly child, returns from India to live with her uncle in England. Led to the key of the Secret Garden by a robin, she begins to tend and care for the garden which in turn has a positive change on her life. A heartwarming story, suitable for all ages.
12th - 22nd April: Wild Spring Air by Rogue Theatre, Tehidy Woods - Let your imagination run wild with Rogue Theatre in this immersive easter trail of wild tales on woodland paths!
